Carlyle Group has launched a unit to build solar and other renewable energy installations. Carlyle did not indicate how much it planned to invest to reach a 10gigatonne project pipeline by 2030. Since 2018, the company claims to have spent approximately $1.2 billion in renewable assets. Carlyle Infrastructure controls $15 billion in assets in the power, energy, transportation, digital, and water sectors.
