The Qatar Investment Authority QIA, the nations sovereign wealth fund, supports the Kasada Hospitality Fund. Under the InterContinental name, the hotel debuted in 2010 in Nairobis Upper Hill neighbourhood. In 2014–15, they increased to Sh146 billion thanks to discounted rates provided by nearby resorts.
