LG Chem Ltd of South Korea announced on Monday that it intends to build a hydrogen plant in the country. By the second quarter of 2024, the new plant is predicted to produce 50,000 tonnes of hydrogen per year. LG Chem intends to collaborate with Taekyung Chemical, Koreas largest producer of carbonic acid gas, which uses highpurity CO2 as a raw material.
