To offer embedded storage solutions emphasising AI applications for industries such as mobile, IoT, automotive, and data centres, Micromax Informatics and Phison have formed a joint venture called MiPhi. In India and a few other international regions, MiPhi will produce customdesigned NAND storage with low energy consumption and cost per token, aiming to reduce GPU costs and advance AI. A panIndia sales network will assist manufacturing and spread among Bhiwadi, Hyderabad, Noida, and Telangana facilities. Phison provides technological knowhow and accounts for 80% of operational costs. Micromax uses its production and sales skills. The company wants to upend the AI and enterprise storage markets by providing highperformance, reasonably priced storage solutions.
