For the first time, Grammarly now supports French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese in addition to English. The upgrade makes it possible for Windows, Mac, and Chrome to provide realtime grammar, spelling, tone, and clarity recommendations in these languages. Users can also get paragraphlevel rewrites and inline translation between 19 languages. The rollout is supported by both free and paid levels, while premium accounts are still the only way to access advanced capabilities. Before going live, Grammarly tested its multilingual features with more than a million users and got great feedback. The goal of the change is to satisfy the demand for AIpowered writing tools worldwide and increase its 40 million daily active user base. In order to complement its mature English offering, future updates will include further style and clarity enhancements.
