Dependence Originally scheduled for 2025, Jio Platforms has delayed its muchanticipated initial public offering IPO in order to concentrate on increasing revenue and subscriber growth. Jio wants to further develop its digital and telecom operations before going public, despite analysts valuations of the company being over $100 billion. Although its yearly revenue of $17.6 billion is mostly from telecom operations, it is fast diversifying into AI, apps, and connected products. Additionally, the delay enables Jio to fortify its position in advance of Elon Musks Starlink launch in India. The company has not yet hired any investment bankers, and longterm valuation is its top priority. Investor confidence is unaffected by the delay, as Jios partnerships—such as those with Google, Meta, and Nvidia—support its aspirations for a digital ecosystem. Read More..

An insecure Azure Blob storage container caused a significant data breach at the U.S.based tax consulting firm Rockerbox, exposing around 246,000 records. Jeremiah Fowler, a cybersecurity researcher, found the 286.9GB archive, which included sensitive personally identifiable information PII such as names, addresses, emails, Social Security numbers, drivers licenses, and work information. Military discharge forms DD214 and compensation information were also included in some of the documents. Certain passwordprotected PDFs nevertheless contained PII in their filenames, and the files were saved in plain text. Despite being informed, Rockerbox did not reply to the researcher and instead secured the database. Although there isnt currently any proof of malevolent exploitation, the hack highlights the dangers of inadequate cloud security procedures and the potential longterm hazard of personal data exposure. One publicly revealed SQL Server zeroday vulnerability is among the 137 security issues fixed by Microsofts July 2025 Patch Tuesday update. Due to worries about foreign espionage, OpenAI has stepped up its physical and cyber security measures, especially when DeepSeek, a Chinese business, released a competing AI model that was purportedly constructed using distillation techniques. Because of the companys stringent "information tenting" regulations, only preapproved employees are allowed access to sensitive projects like the O1 model. Offices now demand fingerprint scans to get admission, and proprietary technologies are kept on offline systems. In addition, OpenAI has strengthened data centre security, increased its cybersecurity staff, and implemented a denybydefault network policy. In the AI arms race, these actions indicate growing concerns about intellectual property theft. The company is still funding cuttingedge AI security research and has already thwarted ten malicious AI campaigns this year. Read More..
