To transform medical delivery utilising drones, Skye Air Mobility has teamed up with Kottayam, Keralas CARiTAS Hospital & Institute of Health Sciences. The Caritas Drone Medical Supply Delivery Unit is a novel venture in South Kerala that seeks to improve healthcare efficiency through the expeditious delivery of diagnostic samples and medical supplies. Drones will transport payloads up to 3 kg across 1015 km distances, cutting down on the hourslong delivery times to only 5–7 minutes and the carbon emissions associated with road transport. The first successful flight proved the systems capabilities and a complete deployment was scheduled.
