Microsoft announced a $2.2 billion investment plan in Malaysia that would take place over four years, with the primary goal being the expansion of cloud and artificial intelligence services. With this project, Microsoft is making its most significant commitment to Malaysia in its 32year existence. The investment is to build cloud and AI infrastructure, train 200,000 people in AI, and assist regional developers. CEO Satya Nadella emphasised the need to build worldclass infrastructure in Malaysia to benefit businesses and entrepreneurs.
