Today, a Kenyan judge denied Metas application to be struck from the case it and Sama, its primary subcontractor for content moderation in Africa, were named in last year. By asserting that it is a foreign corporation and that Kenya lacks the authority to decide the case against it, Meta had sought to separate itself from the controversy. Benteler North America Corp. has cancelled a previously announced agreement to sell all of its shares in its steel pipe business to the Luxembourgbased company, Tenaris SA TENR.MI announced on Sunday. Tenaris, a company that produces pipes for oil and gas exploration, stated last year that it will pay $460 million to acquire Steel & Tube Manufacturing Corp. in the United States in order to increase its manufacturing capacity there. In addition to $52 million in working capital, the business stated it will purchase 100% of Benteler Steel on a cashfree, debtfree basis. SPEC LNG said that it was now accepting market participants expressions of interest for prospective regasification services. One of the first FSRUs to be placed in service in South America is the Colombian floating storage and regasification unit FSRU. The terminal has been in use since December 2016 and is located in the far northeast of the nation on the Caribbean Sea. The plant, which enables 2,000 megawatts of gasfired power output and accounts for around 60% of Colombias capacity for gasfired energy, according to SPEC LNG, is the countrys primary access point to global LNG markets.
