On Monday, Rivian announced that it was postponing its intentions to produce electric commercial vans in Europe and that it would no longer pursue its threemonthold deal with MercedesBenz. The Memorandum of Understanding we signed earlier this year for the joint manufacturing of electric vans in Europe has been put on hold, according to Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe, who also noted that the company was aiming for the best riskadjusted returns on its capital investments. The American producer of electric vehicles stated that at a more suitable time for Rivian, it is still open to exploring potential future collaboration with MercedesBenz.
