The vendor behind NSWs suspended iVote system has asked state election officials to study a public intrusion test of its evoting technology in Switzerland beginning in 2019. After election day glitches in local government polls in late 2021, NSW shelved iVote. The intervention test could be used to improve voter and system integrity, according to the vendor. As a result of the Swiss test, researchers discovered vulnerabilities in Scytls source code, which were confirmed to be present in iVote. The issues with iVote in 2021 were mostly caused by a bottleneck in distributing voting numbers to lastminute applicants, which meant they couldnt vote. Read More..
