Soon after the first phases of the computer system were made available to researchers, Australias newest supercomputer, Setonix, was able to take extremely detailed pictures of the supernova remnant. The highspeed fiber was used to send this data to Perths Pawsey Supercomputing Research Center. Setonix, which takes its name from Western Australias beloved quokka Setonix brachyurus, is an important part of the Pawsey Centres $70 million capital improvement project.
