Eaton has announced that it will acquire Fibrebond Corporation for $1.4 billion to increase its market share in the data centre industry. Eaton is expanding its electrical equipment capabilities in response to the growing need for AIdriven data centres. Louisianabased Fibrebond specialises in designing and constructing power enclosures for data centres, industrial facilities, utilities, and communications firms for a quicker and more economical deployment. In 2025, Eaton projects that Fibrebond will make $110 million in adjusted core profit. The purchase comes after NordicEPOD, Eatons recent European expansion. Cyberattacks on two U.S. healthcare providers, Sunflower Medical organisation and Community Care Alliance CCA have compromised the private information of more than 300,000 people, according to ransomware organisation Rhysida. Serving Kansas City, Sunflower discovered the breach on 7 January, almost a month after the hackers accessed its computers on 15 December, revealing 220,968 peoples identities, Social Security numbers, and medical records. A July 2023 attack on CCA revealed that 114,945 people had their diagnoses and lab reports stolen. Rhysida says it has 7.6TB of Sunflowers data, which could indicate that ransom talks are continuing or have failed.
