The United Arab Emirates UAE has received approval to build the largest AI campus outside the United States, indicating a major shift in technology and geopolitical dynamics. The 10squaremile facility, constructed by the statebacked company G42, will support up to 2.5 million Nvidia B200 chips and will possess a power capacity of 5 gigawatts. The agreement, finalised during U.S. President Donald Trumps visit, grants the UAE greater access to advanced AI processors, thereby removing previous restrictions that were imposed due to concerns regarding China. American companies will operate the data centres, ensuring the secure management of AI technology, as confirmed by the U.S. Commerce Department. To enhance collaboration on technology security, the agreement also stipulates that the UAE will invest in data infrastructure of equal size in the United States. Read More..

To create braincomputer interfaces BCIs, Apple has teamed up with Synchron. These BCIs allow users to manage iPhones, iPads, and Vision Pros with neurones. The minimally invasive Stentrode implant from Synchron is inserted into a vein close to the motor cortex and enables handsfree operation of Apple gadgets. By integrating with Apples Switch Control, the system supports accessible alternate input methods. Apple products can be successfully controlled by ALS sufferers, according to early testing, although interaction speed is still slower than with conventional inputs. By formalising neural interfaces as a native input category, Apples BCI Human Interface Device BCI HID protocol opens the door for further cognitive improvements. Read More..

For Android and iOS users, Indias CERTIn has issued a highseverity warning, pointing out vulnerabilities that could result in denialofservice DoS attacks. According to the advisory, Android 13, 14, and 15 have vulnerabilities that let hackers remotely run code, access user data, and increase privileges. Similarly, rogue apps can cause devices to become unresponsive on iPhones and iPads running versions below iOS 18.3 or iPadOS 18.3. Users are advised by CERTIn to update their smartphones to the most recent security patches, and Googles May 1 update fixes bugs in Android. iOS 18.4 should be updated by Apple users to reduce dangers. In order to fix CVE202522462, a serious authentication bypass vulnerability that can give unauthenticated attackers administrative access, Ivanti has published security upgrades for Neurones for ITSM. There is currently no proof that the vulnerability, which impacts onpremises instances running versions 2023.4, 2024.2, and 2024.3, has been exploited. To reduce risks, Ivanti suggests that businesses monitor administrative login attempts, limit IIS access, and hide the solution behind a DMZ. Additionally, the business fixed CVE202522460, a default credentials vulnerability in its Cloud Services Appliance CSA, and advised users to reinstall security upgrades to guarantee adequate defence.
