DCJPY will be used by Internet Initiative Japan IIJ to settle clean energy certificates starting in July 2024. These certificates, representing nonfossil fuel energys environmental value, will be traded using blockchain tech. DCJPY tokens will be backed by bank deposits, linked to bank accounts for secure transactions, and differ from stablecoins as they follow established KYC and AML practices rather than being tied to fiat currencies.
