Using this licence, Coinbase can provide digital payment token services to businesses and individuals in Singapore. Asias leading centre for the bitcoin business is now Singapore. With 32% of the population reported to own cryptocurrencies or have held them in the past, Coinbase regards the Singaporean market as essential. However, recent crypto company failures have cooled interest in the industry.
