On December 14, 2022, the African Development Bank and a number of partners will host a forum in Kigali, Rwanda to introduce the recently established African Pharmaceutical Technology Foundation APTF. The forum will be held from December 12–15 as part of the 2nd International Conference on Public Health in Africa. The creation of the APTF was approved by the Banks Board of Directors in June of this year in order to increase the continents access to technology for the production of drugs, vaccines, and other pharmaceutical goods. Discussion of current impediments to obtaining technology in Africas pharmaceutical industry will be covered at the forum, which is themed Technology Access for Pharmaceutical Manufacturing The African Pharmaceutical Technology Foundation.
