The deal was signed in Barcelona by Bruno Ferrari, medical oncologist and CEO of Oncoclnicas, Javier Cortés and Antonio Llombart, medical oncologists and cofounders of MEDSIR, and Mara Campos, also a cofounder of MEDSIR. 2.75 million euros are invested in MEDSIR capital. With this deal, Oncoclnicas acquires 49% of MEDSIR for a fixed price of 5.75 million euros and a variable price of 3.5 million that will be accrued over the next several years based on the success of particular business targets. It is a strategic alliance to speed independent cancer care, so that firms that study novel medicines may benefit from using an environment of clinical and molecular data confirmed by medical competence, said Mara Campos, CEO and cofounder of MEDSIR.
