The talks started on Thursday and went into the wee hours of Friday before coming to an end. Resuming talks with Chryslers parent company Stellantis was planned for soon. In order to resolve strikes, Ford Motor and the UAW have came to an agreement that will set the precedent for future contracts with GM and Stellantis. The culprit of a recent cyber campaign has been identified as the North Korean organisation Lazarus Group. This attack took advantage of wellknown security holes in another popular piece of software to compromise an unidentified software manufacturer. Advanced evasion tactics were employed in the campaign, along with malware families including SIGNBT and LPEClient, a wellknown hacking tool used for payload delivery and victim profiling. Multiple Lazarus assaults on the targeted software developer suggested that there may have been an attempt to steal source code or tamper with the software supply chain. In 2023, at least three Lazarus campaigns were discovered by Kaspersky, indicating the groups flexibility and variety in the cybersecurity scene. The campaigns constantly used LPEClient malware to deliver the finalstage malware. Read More..

The government and Taiwans chip sector are keen to work together to meet the 2050 netzero emissions goal. Industry executives do, however, emphasise that the development of renewable energy sources must go more quickly, particularly given the growing demand for artificial intelligence AI. Taiwan is a country that imports a lot of energy, mostly coal and natural gas, but it is working to become carbon neutral by switching to more renewable energy sources. The worlds largest contract chipmaker, TSMC, has Cliff Hou, a senior vice president, emphasising the significance of reliable and renewable energy in propelling AI development. MercedesBenz announced "brutal" pricing reductions in the electric vehicle EV market, and supply chain problems affected the companys Q3 results. Due to competitive pricing in the EV market, the luxury automaker may reach the lower end of its projected 12–14% adjusted return on sales for the vehicles segment. Although the firm is dedicated to EV ambitions, if EV margins continue to be lower, it may have to rely more on the performance of its combustion engine portfolio. Tesla Supplier Syrah Benefits as EV Industry Prepares for Change

Before harsher export regulations take effect on December 1, Syrah Resources, an Australian producer, anticipates higher purchases of natural graphite

Before harsher export regulations take effect on December 1, Syrah Resources, an Australian producer, anticipates higher purchases of natural graphite from customers outside of China. This could affect EV battery manufacturers since China, a key producer and exporter of graphite, will need export permits for some graphite goods. With a supply agreement with Tesla, Syrah is seeing customers hoard graphite in an effort to reduce supply risks. Export restrictions may force suppliers of battery materials and automakers to look for other suppliers. Syrah anticipates greater attention on its unique role as a nonChina producer of graphite and AAM in the battery supply chain, even though the entire impact is still unknown. Read More..
