Intel’s new processor, set to be launched in December will be capable of running a generative artificial intelligence chatbot on a laptop rather than relying on cloud data centres for computational capacity. Intel is scheduled to launch a successor chip dubbed "Arrow Lake" next year, and that Intels manufacturing technique will compete with that of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Developers will operate a version of a big language model, technology similar to the one powering products like Meta Platforms ChatGPT. This allows the chatbot to respond faster and prevents data from leaving the device.
