While extremely low interest rates and an ageing population limit business opportunities at home, Japans largest lender is looking to expand its operations in Asia to capitalise on rising consumption in emerging markets. One of HCs main services is pointofsale loans, which are provided to customers for their purchases of goods and services at physical and online points of sale.
