Eurazeo, an investment firm, will buy up to 34% of BMS Groups stock, investing up to £355 million in the global broker. British Columbia Investment Management Corporation BCI, Preservation Capital Partners PCP, and BMS staff and management own a portion of the brokerage, which has 28 offices in 14 countries. With the arrival of Eurazeo, the new investor and BCI will become majority shareholders. Meanwhile, BMS executives and employees will retain significant stock ownership. The transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval, confirms a previous report that BMS was potentially for sale.
