Egypt has launched the global ClimaTech Run competition for startups and digital artists to tackle the most pressing climate challenges. The initiative came as the Egyptian government stepped up preparations for the UN climate change conference in November. Startup finalists can submit their ideas to Cop27 and win prizes of up to $100,000. The United States launched the ClimaTech competition for startups in the fields of energy, food security, agriculture, water management, and new technologies. The competition is part of USAIDs approximately $35 million Egyptian business program.
