Mercado Libre today announced the launch of Mercado Coin, the first Brazilian cryptocurrency. It is built on the Ethereum blockchain and is used by Mercado Libre and Mercado Pago in the same country for $0.10. According to Cointelegraph, the company expects 80 million users to have access to Mercado Coin by the end of August. To date, about 500,000 users can accept digital currencies.
