Chilean lithium producer Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile SQM, through its whollyowned subsidiary SQM Australia, has agreed with Dart Mining to acquire a stake in the Dorchap lithium project in Victorias Australia. This transaction authorizes SQM to explore, mine, and process lithium and related minerals at the project. These projects include Victorian Exploration Barracks EL5315, EL006277, EL006300, and EL006486. The transaction also authorized SQM for funding an exploration program for the project over the next six years. The funding is up to US$12 million, excluding 70% of the commitment.
