An organisation known as Homeland Justice, which has ties to Iran, has taken credit for a cyberattack that took down the official website and email service of Albanias Institute of Statistics INSTAT. The event caused INSTAT to delay the publishing of official figures. The gang claims to have accessed over 100 gigabytes of demographic and geographic information from Albania. Still, the institution said that current census data was not impacted. Homeland Justice has a history of going against corporations and public institutions in Albania.
