Google unveiled improvements to its cloud product suite, Google Distributed Cloud GDC, during the Google Cloud Next 24 event. Support for open AI models such as Llama and Gemma, which enhance generative AI search solutions, is one of the new features. Sensitive applications are prioritised in security improvements, including integration of intrusion detection and prevention systems and ISO27001 and SOC2 compliance certifications. Extensive analytics or AI workloads may now be stored, and a GDC Sandbox helps developers construct and test services. Managed GDC providers and Apigee support are also on the horizon.
