Although the market for crude oil will likely stay tight for most of the third quarter, Morgan Stanley predicts that it will shift into excess next year, with Brent crude prices falling into the midtohigh $70s area. The bank expects supply to rise more than demand as OPEC and nonOPEC output expands. At a future miniministerial meeting, OPEC+ will likely stick to its present output policy, which includes unravelling output curbs in October. According to Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs estimate for Brent crude in Q3 2024 is still $86 a barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate was trading at $80.56 a barrel as of Monday, while Brent crude was at $83.08 per barrel. Read More..

On Monday, Wipros stock fell at its sharpest rate in more than four years, dropping almost 8% by 1046 a.m. IST due to weak sales projections and unsatisfactory June quarter results. Additionally, the Nifty IT index fell by 0.3%. While rivals Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, and HCLTech revealed encouraging statistics and hinted at a pickup in client expenditure, Wipro saw an 11% decline in deal wins and revenue from the prior year. Concerned about Wipros broadbased sales headwinds, subdued forecast, and lacklustre contract wins, Morgan Stanley and Jefferies analysts predicted the company would continue to perform behind its rivals. The British online grocery and technology company Ocado said that Kroger, its partner in the United States, has ordered a range of new automated technologies to be installed throughout its network of warehouses. This is good news for Ocado. It comes after a recent setback with Canadian partner Sobeys, which caused Ocados shares to plummet as they postponed the construction of a fourth robotic warehouse. Kroger plans to integrate Ocados most recent innovations, such as Automated Frameload AFL and OnGrid Robotic Pick OGRP, in its current and upcoming customer fulfilment centres CFCs. These labour productivity and efficiencyboosting technologies are anticipated to improve Krogers delivery networks operating performance significantly. Ocado withheld the orders payment information. According to reports, Nvidia is creating an AI chip variant that complies with US export regulations specifically for the Chinese market. The B200 is one of the new "Blackwell" chip family, which was introduced in March and is much quicker than its predecessor. With Inspur, Nvidia intends to launch and distribute this chip, which is rumoured to be called the "B20." To stop China from advancing militarily, the United States increased export restrictions on sophisticated semiconductors, followed by this action. Because of these penalties, Nvidias income from the Chinese market has decreased to 17% from 26% two years ago. Nvidias H20 processor is estimated to sell over a million units this year in China, valued at over $12 billion, despite a poor start to the product. Read More..

A failed CrowdStrike software update on Friday triggered a global digital outage. To help with recovery, Australias cyber intelligence agency, the Australian Signals Directorate ASD, warned on Saturday about "malicious websites and unofficial code" being shared online. Official CrowdStrike sources were the only ones from whom the ASD advocated getting technical knowledge and updates. As warned by Cyber Security Minister Clare ONeil, Australians should exercise vigilance regarding possible fraud and phishing efforts. The outage brought flight delays and payment problems, which also impacted Qantas and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. According to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, crucial government services, infrastructure, and emergency systems were unaffected. This event has brought considerable attention to CrowdStrike, a wellknown cybersecurity service with nearly 30,000 subscribers worldwide. Read More..

CrowdStrike Falcon Update Causes Global Computer System Crash Across Multiple Sectors

Banks, airlines, hospitals, and government buildings experienced a worldwide computer system breakdown due to CrowdStrikes latest upgrade to its Falco

Banks, airlines, hospitals, and government buildings experienced a worldwide computer system breakdown due to CrowdStrikes latest upgrade to its Falcon sensor programme. Defective code in the upgrade, meant to improve security, caused significant disruptions on Windows OS computers from Microsoft. For not doing enough quality checks before releasing the update, CrowdStrike came under fire from security experts. The issue was attributed to a configuration or signature file and caused "blue screens of death." Although CrowdStrike has released patches, recovering the data necessitates pulling out the problematic code by hand. Because Fortune 500 corporations and important government organisations like the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency heavily utilise CrowdStrike, this event emphasises the value of thorough testing.
