The semiconductor sector will change significantly as Nvidia will take Intels spot on the Dow Jones Industrial Average after 25 years. Having missed out on essential investments like OpenAI and failing to adjust to the advances in generative AI, Intels stock has fallen 54% this year, making it the indexs poorest performance. Analysts predict that, for the first time since 1986, Intel may experience an annual financial loss despite recent optimism for its PC and server sector. The paths of these two semiconductor behemoths are very different, with Nvidias valuation skyrocketing to $3.32 trillion due to its pivotal position in AI technology. Read More..

With tools to enable robots to detect touch, move deftly, and work well with humans, Metas AI research division, FAIR, is developing robotics. These developments, which include Plexus, Digit 360, and Meta Sparsh, give robotic interactions tactile sensation. Plexus synchronises touch throughout the robotic hand, Digit 360 simulates human fingertip sensitivity, and Sparsh provides flexible texture recognition. Meta is making these technologies available for study in industries including manufacturing, VR, and healthcare through partnerships with GelSight and Wonik Robotics. Robots may also safely practise human interactions according to the PARTNR simulation platform, which paves the way for cooperative, adaptable robots that perform well in realworld settings. ChatGPT Search, a realtime online search function for OpenAIs chatbot, is now accessible to paying subscribers. This feature fills in the holes in earlier ChatGPT versions by enabling users to search for uptodate information and receive results in natural language. ChatGPT Search, initiated by a globe symbol in the chat interface, only uses online sources and includes citations at the sentence and answer levels. Users could not initiate searches directly or discern between data from AI datasets and realtime web data. With its promises of quick, precise, and properly referenced replies, ChatGPT Search now faces up against other AI conversation engines such as Perplexity AI and Googles AI Overviews. Read More..

Google Launches ‘Grounding with Google Search’ to Boost AI Accuracy in Gemini API

To improve the accuracy of AIgenerated replies, Google has added a new function called "Grounding with Google Search" to its Gemini API and AI Studio.

To improve the accuracy of AIgenerated replies, Google has added a new function called "Grounding with Google Search" to its Gemini API and AI Studio. This functionality, which is especially helpful for applications that require current data, enables developers to verify AI outputs against realtime data obtained from Google Search. Google hopes to lessen "hallucinations"—inaccuracies frequently seen in AIgenerated content—by firmly establishing replies on trustworthy sources, such as the internet. This grounding approach enhances response dependability, particularly in dynamic settings, by connecting Gemini models with validated, highquality data. This functionality is a big step towards giving developers a mechanism to guarantee the accuracy of AI replies in practical applications, even if it is now restricted to textbased outputs.
